I'm Gijs Sickenga, a Dutch game developer who's passionate about design, programming, and immersive, satisfying gameplay.
I enjoy working on gameplay and technical systems, developer tools, cool visuals, and level design. I specialize in Unity and C#, with a touch of Photoshop, but I have worked with other software and languages as well. I also designed this website.
I've worked with the awesome folks over at Team Meat, Little Chicken, and Gamious on various projects, ranging from Super Meat Boy's Race Mode DLC to Team Racing League, a cooperative racing game released on Steam. I've also worked outside the game industry, on software like Wortell's HoloLens showroom project Visualyz, and on art projects like Geert Mul's Natureally.
I enjoy working with talented, passionate people to realize awesome projects, and I equally enjoy tinkering away at solo tasks that I can fully dedicate myself to.
In my free time I play video games, host a Dungeons and Dragons game, and play piano. I'm also an avid hiker.
